Use this section to learn more about the Medical Benefits from UMR. Remember to take a moment to see if your doctor is in the UnitedHealthcare Choice Plus network, view a list of covered services and more. There's a good chance your doctor may already be in the network.

 

 

Switching to UMR?

We can help. You have the ability to decide which plan is right for YOU. What do UMR plans offer? No matter which plan you choose, it generally includes the same features. You'll have:
 

  • Worldwide emergency coverage.
  • Coverage for a wide range of prescriptions.
  • Preventive care is covered 100% when received in the UnitedHealthcare Choice Plus network.

 

Your Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) Plan
You are free to choose any doctor, but you save a bundle when choose a doctor or facility in the UnitedHealthcare Choice Plus provider network. When you use an in-network medical provider:


  • You don't need a referral to see a specialist.
  • There are usually no claim forms to fill out.
  • You will have the largest network of doctors and hospitals in the country offering their services at a discounted rate, saving you as much as 20 to 30 percent off your bill.
  • There's a good chance your curent doctor or medical facility is already in the network. If they are not, they can apply to become part of the network.
